FWA added the architecture studio in 1985 to accompany the engineering department following fast development in the area. The architecture studio provides comprehensive design services to assist business owners and owners’ representatives for new construction, renovations, adaptive reuse, code review, building assessments and interior design. Architecture determines the functionality of space in a facility, interprets the layout and purpose of each space in order to enhance and maximize the workflow. With years of experience across multiple markets, FWA has expertise working with clients in a team atmosphere to produce results for clients.
Very Satisfied. FWA is our current business partner for architectural and engineering services. | Jim Hall, AVP-Facilities, APG Federal Credit Union
As the cost of land and new construction escalates, the idea of “re-purposing” a building to another use has grown in popularity over the last several years. With this in mind and with building codes and regulations becoming more stringent, FWA focuses on this growing market. Reconfiguring or re-purposing a space or a building is often the most cost-efficient option for businesses to relocate, grow, etc. Our architects are experts in transforming commercial and industrial spaces to be used in new ways.
As owner’s make the decision to build new, renovate or purchase another property for adaptive reuse, FWA can provide a building assessment. FWA, in working with our consultant team, provides this comprehensive look into a building and its components. We complete building assessments to provide significant information to assist in making the decision to purchase, renovate or reuse a structure. Providing code information to change the use of a building and study the implications of egress, fire ratings, size, etc. are all important factors in the decision and detailed in every assessment.
