The Campus Hill Shopping Center required the design of a new wastewater treatment plant for the discharge from an entire shopping center including standalone stores and a movie theater to meet the Maryland Department of the Environmental discharge requirements. FWA utilized all of its disciplines in providing topographic survey, stormwater management design, erosion and sediment control plans and architectural design for the building to encompass the plant. The wasterwater is piped to flow to a treatment building where a grinder pump lift station will pump the wastewater to the head of the SBR plant. After treatment, the water will flow to a second lift station outside of the building that will pump and distribute to the various disposal fields.
