GOOSE BAY STREAM RESTORATION

Project Features:
• Surface mining expansion for a 500 acre site
• Stream classification per the "Rosgen" method of natural
• stream system geomorphology
• Approximately 4,500 linear feet of stream
channel restoration
• Sensitive environmental features include Chesapeake Bay
Critical Area, tidal and nontidal wetlands, forest
floodplain and streams
• Construction will occur in phases over a ten-year period
(1999-2009)

Services Provided:
• Design documents including grading, stormwater
management, and protective easements
• Hydrologic and hydraulic studies
• Surveys and stakeouts
• Forest identification and protection designs
• Erosion and sediment control
• Wetland and floodplain delineation
• Design, drafting, and permitting services
• coordination with all local, state, and federal
review agencies
